I dagarna fem så har Skellefteås succényförvärv Andrew Calof haft ett kärt besök hemifrån. Det är hans bror Michael Calof som har besökt Skellefteå för första gången sedan #19 flyttade hit. Såhär säger Michael om Andrew och hans första tid i Västerbotten:
Hey Michael, is this your first time visiting Skellefteå?
– Yeah my parents have been here a couple of times but this is the first time ive been able to come up.
So whats your impression of the town and the team?
– Really nice town, everybody is very friendly and very nice. The team, again reflected of the town, a bunch of nice guys. Tonight it wasnt their night but they seem to work hard and have had a succesful season so far.
How much do you and Andrew talk, you talk every day?
– We talk a good amount, not necessarily every day but usually atleast 3 or 4 times a week through texting.
For Andrew, has this been all that he wished for coming over to Sweden?
– I think its more than he wished for, the organization has been incredible for him and welcoming him as a foreigner. And i think the town have been the same thing, incredible for him and it has exceeded his expectations.
When youre home in Ottawa, Canada. Do you get to see any games on the television?
– When i dont got class during the game my family and couple of Andrews friends come over to the house and we all watch the game on the TV.
He had an quite alright start of the season, scoring night after night. Did you expect that?
– I think that if you asked him or anyone else that no one expected that. An incredible start that sadly we didnt see continue, but yeah an incredible start that no one really saw coming. Or maybe my mom thought it but me and my dad really didnt think he would do that well so fast.
Okey, so last question. Do you also play icehockey?
– I play soccer. I play for a university team back home. (Ravens)
Michael och Andrew Calof poserar tillsammans med varsin matlåda bestående av pasta och köttbullar. Dom svenska köttbullarna var tydligen betydligt godare än dom i Kanada, var han noga att betona.
